Book Title: The Curse of the Mummy

This book tells us about Tariq’s diary book. He accompanied Mr. Carter to find the tomb of Tutankhamun in Egypt. Tutankhamun had been a king when he was nine years old. Tariq also told that in Egyptian culture the tomb is very important.

Mr. Carter had been searching Tutankhamun’s tomb five year’s along. He only had one more year to find Tutankhamun’s tomb. So, he should hurry for it. He hired a little yellow bird to help them find a Tutankhamun's tomb. Tariq was not believe that a bird can help them to find the tomb.

Comment: The title of this book is very interesting because it shows adventures vibes.

November 2, 2025

Suddenly Karim, Tariq's friend who help Mr. Carter and Tariq in this mission, said he find a new clue. He find a step in the sand that them dig together. Karim and Tariq tell it to Mr. Carter Immediately. Then they are very happy.

Mr. Carter give them an order to keep silent. He do not want everyone else knowing the clue. He afraid of reporters will make news about it. Then, many visitor will come to Egypt.

Something frighten is coming. A yellow bird is killed and eat by a snake. Karim, the first person who find the clue get ill. Tariq believes Tutankhamun is angry with them, but Mr. Carter do not believe in myths. Tariq is beginning to feel afraid.

Comment: From happy vibes to be complicating circumstances.

November 9, 2025

Lord Carnavon, the person who is sponsor the project, arrived with his daughter after we found a new clue of Tutankhamun's tomb. Then, they check the discovery and they think that they are not the first who found it.

Although, Lord Carnavon is still optimistic. He say we may find other beautiful things. So, they continue their work to move stones behind the door. 

After all things, Tariq get a nightmare. He wakes up in his bed feeling cold and afraid. Even though, he keeps working with others to move the last big stone. They find second door that its seals have not broken.

Comment:

Finally, they get a good news about the discovery. I think it is more interesting because they are little bit closer to find Tutankhamun's tomb. Although, I think Lord Carnavon too brave to have a look a tomb. Since something bad will comes to them. As long as I have read in this chapter I feel enjoyed.

November 24, 2025

They take two hours to make a hole in the door. They finished their work at 2 a.m., and one by one go through the way into the long room. They look at everything silently because every single things in the room is beautiful.

Tariq saw one statue of an Egyptian girl is closely similiar with Anne whom Tariq known as an artist. He feels strange with everything that it happened. He remebered his dream which in his dream he saw Anne.

Mr. Carter found a new door between two of Tutankhamun statue's. Mr. Carter and Lord Carnavon want to go there, but Tariq feels that the spirit of Tutankhamun is there. Before Tariq leave them, Lord Carnavon daughter and Tariq help them to go thourgh the door. Tariq asked them what they see in there, and they answered that they found a golden wall. They believe that Tutankhamun's tomb is there.

Tariq go back to his tent and sleep. He afraid about his feeling, but he don't know to whom he will to talk to.

Comments:

Tariq is too quiet. He don't want to tell his team about his feeling. He should to learn to more brave because it will affect in his team. I think he knows that something bad will be happen, so it will be a wisely act if he said everything that he knows to the team.

December 1, 2025

Every day they found something new.

A month later after they found the tomb, many people came around the tomb. Important Egyptians, reporters, and interested people from all over the world attended in the tomb. Everybody could see the gold and treasures. Mr. Carter would take a picture to every single things before wrote down in the book. After that, all of things would send to the museum in Cairo. They must be careful when they move the things.

In the first room of the tomb they found some new things everyday. They found some pens and some old egyptians games. Mr. Carter said that Tutankhamun was very happy while he child. He never went to school because he had a private teacher in his palace. He rarely went out from the palace because the Egyptians people think he was a god. In this situation Tariq felt that Tutankhamun was near from him when he saw Tutankhamun's things. He wondered how it could be because Tutankhamun dead when he was one year older than Tariq.
